Child abuse will not be tolerated. Any concerns about a child’s safety will be taken seriously and acted upon promptly.
We will ensure that we fulfil our legal and moral obligations to report appropriate authorities in relation to suspected abuse, neglect or mistreatment of a child or young person.
We encourage open and honest communication about child safety, within our service and interagency.
We will provide children and young people with the opportunity to give feedback on polices and our practices.
We will do everything in our power to prevent child abuse in all its forms.
We are committed to continually improving our child safety practices, policies and procedures.
We will maintain recruitment practices to ensure that appropriately qualified and skilled people are employed to work with children. Including process for probity, reference checks and minimum standard qualifications.
We will provide ongoing training and support for our staff, to ensure that they can understand and implement child safe practices.
