Supervision

I have spent over 15 years committed to caring and advocating for children, young people, and families. I am an experienced practitioner with leadership expertise across the community services sector.  I have always had a vision to create a service that is safe, that is ethical and that has the ability to make meaningful change.

I’ve had the privilege of leading diverse and talented teams across the statutory child protection system, out of home care residential care and Non-Government disability service. Through this experience across a range of organisational contexts, I embed a commitment and passion for maintaining a child focused and trauma informed lens throughout my ongoing direct clinical work.

Throughout my independent practice, I also have a strong interest in providing professional supervision, education and training to casework teams, leaders within the child protection and disability sector, to support their practice within such a complex system.  My strong professional values of advocacy, holistic care and collaborative approach to safety and wellbeing, is integral to our practice for children, young people and vulnerable families. 

I want to have a positive impact. I want my practice and Thrive360 Care to be part of the solution. I want to create a space where we are not reactive to complexity, but future focused on a service system that takes the responsibility to create positive change and most importantly safety.

My interests and practice is primarily informed by:

• Trauma Informed Care: including models integrating child development, attachment and family systems theory
• Socioecological systems theory
• Experience across child protection system, Out of Home Care and family preservation
• Intersection of disability, trauma and mental health 
• Critical and reflective practice
• Strengths based practice
